What is Visatk?
Visatk is a free website with a BIN checker and other card, payment, IP and banking tools for merchants, developers and anyone who wants to understand card payments.
Is Visatk free to use?
Yes. All tools on the website are free to use without an account. Optional membership plans exist for people who want extra features or support.
Which languages are available?
The site is available in more than thirty languages. Use the language menu at the top of any page to switch.
BIN data and accuracy
What is a BIN?
A BIN (Bank Identification Number), also called an IIN, is the first six to eight digits of a payment card number. It identifies the card brand, issuing bank, card type and usually the country.
Where does the BIN data come from?
The database is compiled from public and industry sources and from range information shared by users, then normalised and checked for consistency. See our methodology page for details.
How accurate are BIN lookups?
Brand and country are usually reliable. Bank names, card levels and types can change when issuers reassign ranges, so treat results as a strong signal rather than an official statement from the issuer.
Why does my BIN show no result?
New, private or recently reassigned ranges may not be in the database yet. You can contact us with the issuer details so we can review the range.
Why do 6-digit and 8-digit BINs give different results?
Many networks moved to 8-digit BINs. One 6-digit prefix can be split between several banks or products, so an 8-digit lookup is more specific when it is available.
API and developers
Is there an API?
Yes. A free JSON API offers single and bulk BIN lookups plus IP lookups. The API documentation page has examples in several programming languages.
Are there API rate limits?
Fair-use limits apply to keep the service fast for everyone. For higher volumes, contact us to discuss your needs.
Privacy and safety
Are the generated card numbers real?
No. Generated numbers are synthetic and only pass format and Luhn checks. They are not linked to any account and are meant only for software testing and QA.
Can I use test numbers to make purchases?
No. Test numbers will be declined by real payment systems. Using them to attempt purchases or free trials is not allowed.
Do you store the card numbers I check?
No. Lookups only need the BIN prefix, and we do not store the numbers you enter. Validator and Luhn checks run in your browser where possible.
Should I enter my full card number?
You do not need to. The first six to eight digits are enough for a BIN lookup. Never enter a CVV, PIN or expiry date on any lookup site.
How accurate is the IP lookup?
Country-level results are generally accurate. City and coordinates are approximate and can be far from the real location, especially on mobile networks and VPNs.
Account, ads and contact
Why does Visatk show ads?
Advertising pays for hosting and development so the tools can stay free. Ads never affect lookup results or editorial content.
What does membership include?
Membership plans add optional extras and support. The core tools stay free for everyone. See the membership page for current plan details.

Use the contact page or email us. Include the BIN or page address and what you believe is wrong so we can check it quickly.
