About the Luhn Calculator
The Luhn algorithm (mod 10) is a simple checksum used by payment cards, IMEI numbers and many ID numbers to detect typing errors. Every second digit from the right is doubled; if the result is above 9, 9 is subtracted; the total must be divisible by 10.
